A State level workshop on ‘Digital Technology in Teaching and Learning’ was organised by School of Education, Christ University, Bengaluru on 16 September 2017. The inaugural ceremony commenced in the Campus view, Central Block at 9.00 a.m. with the lighting of the lamp and an invocation song.
Dr. Anil Pinto, Registrar, Christ University, delivered the inaugural speech followed by Dr. Krishna Raj P.M, Professor of Ramaiah Institute of Technology, keynote speaker for the day, enlightened us with his words of wisdom tracing instances from the time of Vedas and Upanishads.

The total number of participants who participated in the workshop were 140. The first session of the wor?kshop started at 10.30a.m in OOTE and BCA lab. The objective of the workshop was to develop in the teachers competencies related to digital technology so that the teaching learning process becomes more effective.
The resource persons for the day were expertise in the field of technology namely Sir Vinay M and Dr. Beaulah S. Both of them guided all the participants throughout the day teaching them on effective digital tools like Padlet, Spark adobe, Kahoot, Programming through the mode of gamification, Infographics, Hot potatoes and Duolingo.
The workshop ended at 4.00p.m and everyone assembled in the assembly hall for the distribution of certificates by Head of Department, School of Education, Dr.Jose Cherian to all the delegates of the day. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Jacqueline K  and followed by the University Anthem. All the participants were then provided with tea at the end of the program.

 The day turned out to be a meaningful one which provided the budding and the present teacher trainees to have an exposure on various digital tools which would help them in their teaching process.
