A “Tool Learning Workshop”, for this academic year was organized on 26 June 2014 by the department of Electronics in association with Convergent Technologies, Bangalore.

The final year students participated in the Tool Learning Workshop on “Digital Storage Oscilloscope (DSO)”.  The resource person for the workshop was Mr. Mukesh Soni, Product Marketing Manager (Education), Tektronix, Bangalore.

Mr. Mukund N N introduced the resource person Mr Mukesh Soni and Sales Manger, Mr. Gururaj N from Convergent Technologies, Bangalore,  to the students and also briefed about the objectives of the Tool Learning Workshop.

Mr. Mukesh Soni, explained various technical aspects and applications of the Tektronix DSO in the field of electronic measurements, followed by a demonstration on how to use the DSO, to the students. After the demo the students were allowed to use the DSOs in the lab and practice various settings on the control panel of the DSO. He also showed the ‘course’ feature (an inbuilt electronics lab manual on selected experiments uploaded by faculty members from different colleges and Tektronix).

The students enjoyed lively talk/demonstration of the Digital storage Oscilloscope during the workshop. Ms. Nileena of final year BSc (PME) proposed vote of thanks.

The faculty members from the department were also present during the workshop.
