CHRIST (Deemed to be University) is declared as a Minority Educational Institution under Section 2(g) of the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions Act 2004, as Certified by the Commission by its Order No. 8743 dated 29th July 2013 and conveyed by its communication No. 1561 of 2013 dated 26th August 2013. By virtue of the said declaration, CHRIST as a Minority Educational Institution, will not be mandated to observe the Reservation Rules that may be Issued by the Government of India or by the State Government from time to time with regard to earmarking specified quota of Seats for any of the Reserved categories. However, the University admits students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. |
