SUMMARY:
The technical talk organized by the computer science department of the faculty of enginering, Christ (Deemed to be a University) was more of the interactive session which focused on learning through activities rather than just some theoritical talk. The talk started my Mr. Mithun explaining about various iterative software development processes, he stated that the iterative life cycle model doesn't endeavor to start for a full determination from claiming prerequisites. Instead, improvement starts Toward specifying Furthermore actualizing just and only the software, which may be afterward reviewed on recognizing further prerequisites, then he explained about various life cycle models like Waterfall model and then talked about the agile development process and how important agile is in the software development life cycle, he explained that Agile model believes that every project needs to be handled differently and the existing methods need to be tailored to best suit the project requirements. In Agile, the tasks are divided into time boxes to deliver specific features for a release, the Iterative approach is taken and working software build is delivered after each iteration. Each build is incremental in terms of features; the final build holds all the features required by the customer. Later he made the audience to involve themselves in various activites and to mention one, it was a team activity in which each team had to build a tower using newspapers, the activity was quite a fun but it ended on a learning note as later he explained the importance of working in team and how to make the project together with the team, he explained the importance of planning before starting any project and hence related the agile methodology with the activity conducted. After an hour long informative and interactive session the talk concluded leaving students with new learnings.
