Internal Quality Assurance Cell

Strategic Initiatives

The Strategic Initiatives of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at CHRIST (Deemed to be University) focus on enabling and strengthening institutional growth through strategic planning, policy facilitation, and evidence-based interventions. Operating from a quality assurance perspective, IQAC plays a key role in guiding, coordinating, and monitoring initiatives aligned with the University’s long-term vision.

Through frameworks such as the Strategic Plan 2023–2026 and the Institutional Development Plan, IQAC supports the systematic planning and review of institutional priorities, ensuring alignment with defined goals and quality benchmarks. The vertical also facilitates policy development, promotes structured research support mechanisms, and encourages welfare-oriented practices for University stakeholders by identifying gaps, analysing institutional data, and recommending actionable measures.

2025-26

During the academic year 2025–26, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) contributed significantly to strengthening the University’s research ecosystem by facilitating structured research initiatives through policy recommendations, framework development, and continuous review mechanisms.

Drawing on institutional data analysis, consultations with eminent researchers and subject experts, and benchmarking against leading universities, the IQAC facilitated the streamlining of research funding processes, promoted interdisciplinary collaboration, and recommended measures to enhance the quality and impact of research output.

The key focus areas identified for research fund allocation at the University level included student research initiatives, research funding and grants, infrastructure and facilities, capacity building and training, research promotion and visibility, and innovation and ecosystem support. These efforts contributed to the development and refinement of initiatives such as research grants, fellowships, and capacity-building programmes, while ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and global standards.

The strategic allocation of research funding played a vital role in advancing institutional research goals and strengthening the overall research ecosystem. In this regard, the IQAC supported data-driven planning, identified priority areas for investment, and facilitated initiatives aimed at enhancing research capacity, fostering innovation, and improving the overall quality and impact of research at the University.
