The book on ‘Academic Enrichment’ is primarily designed to record the experience and knowledge acquired of the Academic Enrichment Programme initiated to revive the thrust on intellectual competence a key dimension stated in the strategic plan of CHRIST (Deemed to be University).
 

The long journey undertaken by the academic community that articulates and explores academic excellence in based on the study on best practices in administration of higher educational institutions in. The study undertaken by the Centre for Education Beyond Curriculum, Christ College that generated a theoretical framework consisting of strengthening of curriculum, teaching methodology, strengthening of faculty and academic community represents a rich source of information gathered and insights obtained to approach strengthening curriculum, innovations in teaching methodology, means of strengthening of faculty and ways to forge an academic community.
 

The conceptual framework model of Academic Enrichment programme presented in the book has large implications for institutions and educators as it provides valuable insights of practicing and achieving excellence in higher education.
