The Council deliberated on advancing industry-aligned educational processes. Suggestions included developing curricula, training and internships around specific industrial sectors, strengthening industry partnerships, integrating Artificial Intelligence across disciplines, providing faculty training in AI, and developing AI-based modules. The Vice Chancellor informed the Council that a faculty awareness survey on AI would be conducted and that a foundational AI course for students across disciplines would be introduced from the following academic year.
The Council further discussed the skills required for the future of higher education in India. The discussion emphasised reskilling and upskilling in response to technological developments, particularly AI, along with critical thinking, communication, collaboration, innovation, adaptability, faculty development, curriculum reform, project-based learning, internationalisation and digital infrastructure. The importance of ensuring AI competence and future-ready skills among graduates was highlighted.

The 38th Meeting of the IQAC Council reviewed the University's progress in quality enhancement, institutional development, and strategic initiatives. The audit assessed departments on parameters related to AQAR compliance, strategic plan implementation, and ranking metrics. While strong performance was noted in teaching-learning practices and student engagement, areas identified for improvement included research quality, external funding, consultancy, internationalisation, entrepreneurship, digital content development, and integration of Sustainable Development Goals within curriculum and research.

The Council was updated on the preparation of the University’s Strategic Plan 2023–26, which was being developed through a consultative and inclusive process involving key stakeholders across the University. The proposed focus areas were aligned with the University’s vision, mission, and core values, with an emphasis on collective ownership and effective implementation.
Updates were also provided on faculty and staff development initiatives planned for the academic year 2023–24. The Council took note of the Faculty Development Programme, staff training initiatives, and the proposed National Seminar on Institutionalising Quality Culture in Higher Education Institutions, aimed at strengthening quality culture and institutional performance. The Council further discussed industry collaborations, placements, and internships, particularly in the context of emerging guidelines on strengthening industry–academia linkages. The Council approved the minutes of the 31st Meeting and reviewed the Action Taken Report, including a study undertaken to identify potential Best Practices for the next cycle of NAAC Accreditation. The Council discussed the findings and recommended further deliberations before finalising the Best Practices.

The Council approved the minutes of the 30th Meeting and reviewed the Action Taken Report, with Deans presenting updates on initiatives undertaken to strengthen research, enhance faculty engagement, and promote collaborative research across Schools.
The Council was updated on the preparation of the University’s Strategic Plan 2023–26, which was being developed through a consultative and inclusive process involving key stakeholders across the University. The proposed focus areas were aligned with the University’s vision, mission, and core values, with an emphasis on collective ownership and effective implementation.
Updates were also provided on faculty and staff development initiatives planned for the academic year 2023–24. The Council took note of the Faculty Development Programme, staff training initiatives, and the proposed National Seminar on Institutionalising Quality Culture in Higher Education Institutions, aimed at strengthening quality culture and institutional performance. The Council further discussed industry collaborations, placements, and internships, particularly in the context of emerging guidelines on strengthening industry–academia linkages. The discussions highlighted the need to formalise existing collaborative practices and create structured opportunities for students and staff to engage with industry and promote innovation.
The Council also deliberated on the Best Practices and Institutional Distinctiveness to be considered for the next cycle of NAAC Accreditation. The concept of an SDG-aligned curriculum was identified as a potential Institutional Distinctiveness, while a faculty consultation was proposed to identify and develop suitable Best Practices reflecting the University’s institutional ethos and initiatives. The Council took note of the successful submission of AQAR 2021–22 and the ongoing preparations for AQAR 2022–23, including efforts to strengthen the ERP-based documentation and data collection process. The University’s performance in national and international rankings was also reviewed, with the Council acknowledging the collective efforts contributing to the institution’s continued progress and visibility.
Other discussions focused on strengthening institutional documentation and the presentation of information to support effective decision-making and institutional visibility. The Council also took note of new University-wide initiatives, including Vignette Windows, Digital Mission, and Write Right, aimed at enhancing institutional awareness, digital competencies, and professional and academic writing skills among students.

The 32nd meeting of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) Council reviewed the progress of the University’s quality initiatives, academic audit processes, strategic planning, and efforts related to rankings and accreditation. The Council approved the minutes of the 31st Meeting and reviewed the Action Taken Report, including a study undertaken to identify potential Best Practices for the next cycle of NAAC Accreditation. The Council discussed the findings and recommended further deliberations before finalising the Best Practices.
The Council took note of various quality-focused initiatives undertaken across the University, including staff induction and in-service training programmes, faculty development initiatives, national seminars, and leadership development activities. Updates were also presented on the establishment and activities of CUHELI, including its new facility and leadership programmes. The importance of standardising training initiatives across campuses was also highlighted.
An update was provided on the Internal Academic Audit conducted for the academic year 2022–23, which involved departments across the University’s six campuses and was supported by orientation and training programmes for the stakeholders involved. The Council appreciated the efforts of the IQAC team and the academic and administrative units in facilitating the audit process and noted the importance of continued review and improvement through institutional audits.
The Council also took note of the University Strategic Plan 2023–26 and the subsequent release of the Implementation Intentions document. Updates were provided on the implementation framework and the proposed review of progress across campuses and Schools to support the effective execution of the Strategic Plan. The Council further discussed strategies to strengthen the University’s performance in rankings and accreditation. Updates were presented on initiatives relating to research funding, digital learning, placements, doctoral research, and consultancy. The discussions highlighted the importance of strengthening institutional processes, improving data management and documentation, and encouraging collaborative efforts across University Centres and departments.
Other matters discussed included initiatives to streamline personnel processes, improve awareness of institutional benefits, and strengthen the University’s communication and visibility through social media. The Council also emphasised the importance of regular monitoring and review to ensure the effective implementation of the University’s strategic initiatives and continued institutional growth.

The 33rd meeting of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) Council reviewed the progress of institutional quality initiatives, academic audits, and strategic developments at CHRIST (Deemed to be University). The Council approved the minutes of the previous meeting and reviewed the Action Taken Report, including updates on the University’s social media engagement and communication initiatives aimed at improving visibility and outreach.
The Council was presented with a study report on Data Management, which highlighted the need to strengthen data collection, documentation, and retrieval through the University ERP system. The report recommended phased improvements, including enhanced data security, system integration, and training to ensure efficient institutional data management. Updates were also provided on the Interim Academic Audit 2023–24 and the Interim Review of Strategic Plan Implementation, with analysis and reporting scheduled to be submitted to the Vice Chancellor. The Council also noted the progress of the AACSB accreditation process undertaken by the School of Business and Management.
Various quality initiatives across academic, research, governance, and infrastructure domains were discussed. These included learner-centred academic reforms aligned with NEP guidelines, initiatives to strengthen research output and intellectual property, improvements in student support services, infrastructural development, and governance reforms. The Council also reviewed sustainability initiatives led by the SDG Cell, including departmental alignment with Sustainable Development Goals and the conduct of Sustainability Week.
The Council further reviewed the University’s participation and progress in national and international rankings, including NIRF and AISHE reporting, and appreciated the collaborative efforts of faculty and administrative staff in maintaining institutional performance. The meeting concluded with updates on leadership development programmes and faculty development initiatives focusing on learner-centric strategies and the impact of artificial intelligence in education.
