The Council considered and approved the minutes of the 36th IQAC Council Meeting held on 12 April 2025. The Action Taken Report was also considered, with discussions focusing on initiatives to strengthen interdisciplinary research, including research internships, conference travel grants, postdoctoral fellowships, interdisciplinary research grants, enhanced PhD fellowships, revised research incentives, seed funding, SDG-aligned research, and collaborative initiatives with ISRO.
The Council reviewed the University's performance in national and international rankings and awards. The discussion covered QS World Rankings, WURI Rankings, Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, India Today Best Universities Rankings, and the Economic Times Education Excellence Awards.
The planned activities of IQAC for the academic year 2025–26 were presented under five verticals: Rankings & Awards, Training & Development, Documentation & Audits, Publications, and Strategic Initiatives. Key activities included training programmes for IQAC Coordinators, Heads of Departments and administrative staff; mentoring an external institution; organising a Registrar's Conference and National Seminar; participation in approved ranking frameworks; academic and various institutional audits; publication of the Administrative Manual, Annual Report, Coffee Table Book and IQAC Activity Report; and strategic initiatives aligned with the identified pillars of institutional development.
The Council deliberated on advancing industry-aligned educational processes. Suggestions included developing curricula, training and internships around specific industrial sectors, strengthening industry partnerships, integrating Artificial Intelligence across disciplines, providing faculty training in AI, and developing AI-based modules. The Vice Chancellor informed the Council that a faculty awareness survey on AI would be conducted and that a foundational AI course for students across disciplines would be introduced from the following academic year.
The Council further discussed the skills required for the future of higher education in India. The discussion emphasised reskilling and upskilling in response to technological developments, particularly AI, along with critical thinking, communication, collaboration, innovation, adaptability, faculty development, curriculum reform, project-based learning, internationalisation and digital infrastructure. The importance of ensuring AI competence and future-ready skills among graduates was highlighted.
The Council discussed employability initiatives, employee training in AI, ethical AI practices, and the University's continuing efforts to strengthen international alumni engagement. The 38th Meeting of the IQAC Council reviewed the University's progress in quality enhancement, institutional development, and strategic initiatives. The Council deliberated on the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across teaching, learning, research, and administrative processes, as well as initiatives aimed at strengthening career and life skills among students to enhance employability and future readiness.
The Council reviewed the University's performance in national and international rankings and acknowledged the coordinated efforts undertaken to strengthen institutional visibility and benchmarking. Members also noted the release of key IQAC publications, including the University Coffee Table Book 2025 and the Administrative Manual, which contribute to institutional documentation and administrative effectiveness.
Significant attention was given to sustainability and environmental stewardship through the presentation of the Green Audit Report. The findings highlighted the University's achievements in waste management, sustainability initiatives, and SDG integration, while providing recommendations for further strengthening environmental performance and resource management.
The Council also reviewed the outcomes of the Annual Academic Audit 2024–25 and the second-year review of the University Strategic Plan (2023–26). The Council approved the minutes of the previous meeting and reviewed the Action Taken Report, which highlighted initiatives to strengthen industry collaborations and alumni engagement, including student training programmes with leading organisations and increased involvement of alumni in mentoring, advisory roles, and placement support.
The Council noted the annual activities of IQAC for the academic year 2024–25, which included initiatives related to rankings and awards, academic audits, data management, training programmes, publications, and strategic institutional development. Updates were also shared regarding the appointment of Professors of Practice and increased focus on research funding and external collaborations.

The 35th meeting of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) Council reviewed key institutional initiatives related to academic quality, human resource development, and alumni engagement at CHRIST (Deemed to be University). The Council approved the minutes of the previous meeting and reviewed the Action Taken Report, including updates on mental well-being initiatives for faculty and staff implemented by the Centre for Counselling and Health Services through counselling sessions, wellness workshops, and stress management programmes. The Council also recommended integrating cybercrime awareness programmes within the mental well-being framework.
The Council reviewed the findings of the Internal Academic Audit 2023–24, conducted across 57 departments and six campuses. The audit assessed departments on parameters related to AQAR compliance, strategic plan implementation, and ranking metrics. While strong performance was noted in teaching-learning practices and student engagement, areas identified for improvement included research quality, external funding, consultancy, internationalisation, entrepreneurship, digital content development, and integration of Sustainable Development Goals within curriculum and research.
Updates were also presented on the Human Resources Office initiatives, including the restructuring of HR functions into operations, strategy, and development. New initiatives such as leadership training programmes, revised performance appraisal systems, flexible work policies, and research incentive schemes were introduced to enhance faculty productivity and organisational culture.
