The Vendor Service Audit is an initiative undertaken by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of essential services provided through on-campus outlets, including eateries, stationery shops, and other student and staff service points. The audit focuses on assessing service standards, hygiene, pricing, accessibility, and overall user experience to ensure that these facilities meet institutional expectations and cater effectively to the needs of the University community.
The primary objective of the audit is to enhance the quality, consistency, and reliability of services offered across campus by strengthening accountability and improving vendor performance. By systematically reviewing these services, the University aims to ensure a safe, student-centric, and efficient service environment, while fostering better vendor engagement and continuous improvement in service delivery.
The Green Audit for the academic year 2024–25 was conducted across multiple campuses of CHRIST (Deemed to be University) by an external agency, Eco Energime Engineers LLP, in coordination with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). The audit covered key campuses including Bangalore Central, Bannerghatta Road, Yeshwanthpur, and Kengeri, and was carried out during the academic year 2024–25 through a structured on-site evaluation and documentation review process.
From an IQAC perspective, the audit aimed to assess and enhance environmental sustainability practices across the institution. The scope of the audit included water management, energy conservation, waste management, green campus initiatives, and environmental sustainability practices, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of resource utilisation and eco-friendly infrastructure. The methodology involved site inspections, stakeholder interactions, policy reviews, and analysis of existing systems such as sewage treatment plants, renewable energy installations, and waste segregation mechanisms.
Based on the recommendations provided, the University has undertaken significant measures to strengthen its sustainability practices, including improved resource efficiency, expansion of renewable energy usage, enhanced waste management systems, and better utilisation of treated water. These initiatives have contributed to the development of a more environmentally responsible campus ecosystem, reinforcing the University’s commitment to sustainable growth, operational efficiency, and long-term environmental stewardship.
