Unnathi SHA- Child Focused Community Development Project (Ongoing)
Kindernothilfe, Germany funded the Unnathi SHA Project, and it is an ongoing project initiated by CSA. The project was started to bring changes in the lives of the community in many aspects and especially increasing social, economic, and political empowerment. So far, the project has formed 43 SHGs, 4 Cluster level associations (CLA), 2 project-level children’s parliament, 11 adolescent girls groups, one project-level Child Protection Committee.
Impact:

The project has initiated a women-led development program through the self-help group approach (SHA) by empowering women in social, political, and economic domains.

11 Supplementary Education Centres help 411 children to acquire quality education.

256 SHG women and 28 SHGs are trained to set goals for themselves and are helped to achieve them.

225 SHG women are trained in understanding gender issues and fighting against violence and oppression.

70% of the SHG members have constructed toilets, and 25 women have availed themselves of livelihood loans.
