Faculty Support
TLEC offers structured support to faculty in four key areas: Course Planning, Classroom Observation, Student Feedback, and Assessment Support.
Course Planning
TLEC supports departments in designing constructively aligned course plans that:
- Align course outcomes with programme outcomes and national frameworks (LOCF, NEP 2020).
- Integrate learner-centred pedagogies, appropriate assessment strategies, and digital tools.
- Meet minimum institutional standards for teaching–learning–assessment.
Support is provided through
- Course plan templates and guidelines for curriculum design.
- Workshops for new and experienced faculty on course plan development and review.
Classroom Observation
In coordination with school/campus teams, TLEC contributes to:
- Designing classroom observation tools that focus on learner engagement, constructive alignment, and use of active learning strategies.
- Reviewing trends from observations (where implemented) and suggesting targeted capacity-building interventions.
Student Feedback
TLEC supports systematic use of student feedback to improve teaching–learning practices by
- Developing tools for collecting feedback on teaching, assessment, and course design.
- Analysing feedback at the level of schools/campuses and suggesting follow-up actions.
- Supporting university-wide feedback exercises (e.g., mid-semester assessment feedback, outcome attainment surveys) and integrating findings into policy and practice.
Assessment Support
TLEC offers a range of assessment-related support
- Guidelines and review tools for question paper and question bank design.
- Support for rubric-based assessment, continuous assessment planning, and formative assessment strategies.
- Workshops on assessment in digital environments, including online exams, hybrid assessment, and feedback mechanisms.
