The Teaching Learning Enhancement Cell (TLEC) at CHRIST (Deemed to be University) works towards enhancing the quality of curricula and teaching-learning-assessment practices at the University. In the present scenario, given the emphasis by the Ministry of Education, University Grants Commission, National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) on the adoption of a Learning Outcome-based Curriculum Framework (LOCF) and the focus on formative assessment, TLEC attend to the need for such an initiative in a higher education teaching, learning, and assessment. CHRIST (Deemed to be University) is proud to be one of the pioneers to address this gap through institutional mechanisms.

The Cell was conceptualised in 2015 as a part of the Office of Examinations to work towards improving the teaching, learning, and assessment practices of the University. As an initiative of IQAC, it was formally constituted as the Teaching Learning Enhancement Cell in 2018.

TLEC is currently supporting the adoption and implementation of Outcomes-Based Education and is reviewing the teaching, learning, and assessment practices that are followed by the various departments across the University. The Cell also works on conceptualising, designing, and organising workshops that would enhance curricular and teaching-learning-assessment practices at the University.

He is the Vice Chancellor of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), with his educational foundation in History and Education. Fr Joseph C C is the Director of Student Affairs and is also Professor with the Department of International Studies and History. He has been a guiding force behind the educational innovations and practices that have been adopted by the University.
He is the Registrar of CHRIST (Deemed to be University) and has a background in English, Translations Studies, and Cultural Studies. He also guides research in MPhil and PhD in English Studies and Media Studies. His areas of research interest are history of higher education in India, digital classroom, Konkani literature, university education in English and Media, self-translations. He has experimented with integrating digital technologies into higher education classrooms. He is also the coordinator of Centre for Publications, and Managing editor of University Journals
