SDG Training and Awareness Programme
Insightful training sessions and awareness stalls were set up by the members of the SDG Cell to bring about awareness of the implementation of 17 SDG goals among students and faculty members on campus.


Women’s Day
The SDG Cell of CHRIST (Deemed to be University) organized a panel discussion in observance of International Women’s Day. The event successfully promoted SDG Goal 5: "Gender Equality" and SDG Goal: "Reduced inequalities" in the discussion and nurturing of young minds.


World Earth day
On World Earth Day, which was observed on April 22, 2023, the SDG Cell at CHRIST (Deemed to be University) promoted responsible electricity and water consumption practices on campus. Both students and faculty members enthusiastically participated in SDG Cell activities.
Moreover, they took a pledge to initiate actionable steps.

World Environment Day
On account of World Environment Day, 4th June 2023, The SDG Cell of CHRIST Deemed to be University) conducted a ‘Sapling Plantation Drive’ in collaboration with NGV and ISRO.

World Youth Skills Day
On July 15, 2023, in celebration of World Youth Skills Day, the SDG Cell initiated an effort to empower and upskill young individuals by promoting SDG Goal number 8. Ms. Supriya Panchagam, CEO of The Future Founders Co., led the session. The
students were also encouraged to develop essential life skills.

Understanding the UN SDGs
On the 4th of August 2023, the SDG Cell organized a faculty meet to discuss and explore actionable sustainable practices. The event featured Mr. Melwin Noronha, Dr. Leena James, and several esteemed faculty members who shared perspectives from their knowledge and expertise. Inspirational stories from successful veterans were shared to inspire attendees to drive a change in their communities.

India Sustainability Startathon 2023
The SDG Cell, in collaboration with The Future Founders, co-organized a Sustainability Startathon which spanned two days. This two-day boot camp took place on August 7th and 8th, 2023, featuring Ms. Supriya Panchangam, CEO of The Future Founders Co., as the guest speaker. With over 60 participants, the event aimed to empower students by allowing them to explore sustainable solutions.

World Humanitarian Day 2023
This World Humanitarian Day, 19th August 2023, the SDG Cell united with the students and faculties of CHRIST (Deemed to be University) to celebrate and honor the efforts of humanitarian workers worldwide.. The open mic event allowed faculties and students to express their solidarity through poetry, skits, and music.

Faculty Orientation program
The SDG Cell of CHRIST (Deemed to be University) is expanding its presence from the Central campus to its two other campuses ie; Yeshwantpur and Bannerghatta. The program introduced the SDG Cell, its mission, vision and implementation at a departmental and university level to the faculties of the campuses and encouraged them to join the drive.

Bannerghatta Road Campus
Dr. Leena James and Dr. Nidula Wilson were the speakers of this faculty orientation program in the Bannerghatta Road campus, which took place on 31st July 2023.

Yeshwanthpur campus
Dr. Leena James and Dr. Victor Paul were the speakers of this faculty orientation program in the Yeshwanthpur campus, which took place on 21st August 2023.
