BCOM (International Finance) focuses on the areas of International Finance, Public Accounting and Financial Analysis. With this unique blend of emphasis, this programme enables students to propel their careers as financial analysts, valuation experts, public accountants, risk experts, wealth creators and Managers both in corporate and merchant banking domains. 5.This programme has two electives:- •Elective 2: Public Accounting (for CPA aspirants)
1. The programme is finalised with reference to the:
• CSO (Content Specification Outline) of the Uniform CPA (Certified Public Accountant) Examinations conducted by the AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants), USA.
• CBOK (Candidate Body of Knowledge) for the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Level 1 exams conducted by the CFA Institute, USA.
2. Employability skill enhancement courses like Advanced Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Python, and AIML.
3. Seasoned academicians and CFA, CPA, and/or CA- qualified faculty members enable easier and more comprehensive coverage of the curriculum.
4. Experiential Learning modules, Differential placement, and internship opportunities.
•Elective 1: Finance and Investments (for CFA aspirants)
This elective equips candidates with knowledge and skills in investment tools, financial modelling, asset valuation, portfolio management, and ethical standards to prepare them for a career in the investment management profession.
This elective prepares candidates with knowledge and skills in accounting, auditing, taxation, and fraud detection, ensuring their readiness to meet professional standards and provide high-quality services in public accounting and business environments.
After completing 3 years of undergraduate studies of the programme, students admitted to this track have an option to pursue a one-year post graduate degree - MS in Accounting (or an equivalent post graduate degree) from a partner university in the United States of America. This unique opportunity enables students to fulfil the minimum credit requirements for the CPA (USA) examination. The students also have an option to take up ADBA – Advanced Diploma in Business Accounting, an online course approved by NASBA to meet the credit deficit to be eligible to write CPA examinations.
