Student Welfare Office

The Student Welfare Office provides a platform for students to exhibit their skills and talents. It is a forum, where through the mode of cultural activities, like-minded people meet each other, exchange ideas, and develop into better human beings. SWO conducts programs like DARPAN, BLOSSOMS and IN BLOOM to identify and nurture talents and provide a platform for members to develop leadership skills.

Darpan, which is normally held at the beginning of the academic year, helps to identify fresh talent who represent CHRIST (Deemed to be University) in stage, literary, art and theatre events at various State, National and International competitions.

In-bloom, a national level inter-university cultural fest, and Blossoms, an inter-deanery cultural fest conducted in the even semester, provides students an opportunity to exhibit their skills and talents and help students to develop leadership and management skills.

The student welfare office is divided into 5 wings namely

 1)University Volunteer body

 2) University Cultural Team

 3) University Choir Team

 4) Natyarpana – University Dance Team

 5) University Quiz Association (CUQA)

Students interested in any of the above-mentioned activities can be a part of SWO. They are given training in various disciplines, to help them function effectively. The volunteers assist in organizing various events right from Inauguration to Graduation Day and form the “backbone” of the University. The cultural team, participates in numerous fests, bringing many laurels and are literally the “face” of the University. The University Dance team NATYARPANA and the University Choir team always bring life to programs at the University. Students talented in dance and music can be part of these two wings of the student welfare office. They are always present during the inaugural and conclusion of University programs.

CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Quiz Association provides a platform for students interested in Quizzing. Here, students get together and organize quiz competitions to hone their quizzing skills.

Students who are part of the Volunteer body, Cultural team, Natyarpana, and Choir are eligible for undertaking a certificate course run by the Student Welfare Office
