Cyril earned his B.A. in English, Economics, and Social Work from the Bhopal School of Social Sciences in 2008. He completed his Master of Social Work at CHRIST University, Bangalore, in 2011. He later earned an MPhil in Social Work from the Centre for Criminology and Justice at TISS, Mumbai, in 2016. Currently, he is pursuing his PhD at the same institute. From 2012 to 2014, Cyril taught at the Central University of Kerala. During 2016-2017, he worked at the De Paul Institute of Science and Technology. Since 2017, he has been an Assistant Professor at CHRIST University. His teaching includes Social Work Methods, Public Health, Counselling, and Corporate Social Responsibility. Cyril has published journal articles and book chapters both nationally and internationally. He has also presented papers at conferences in India and abroad. His research interests include criminal justice, CSR, social work methods, fieldwork, and indigenous communities. In 2024, he received the Visiting Scholar Grant from the University of Cincinnati, USA. His academic contributions reflect his dedication to advancing the field of social work.
