REPORT ON RESEARCH PAPER PRESENATATION COMPETITION

The world around us is undergoing a change with the changing times and it is pertinent for us to stay abreast with the same. Keeping this in mind, Bcom Honours Programme, Dept. of Commerce organized a Research Poster Presentation Competition for the third year Bcom Honours students. A total of 108 groups were formed with 3 members each. 39 teachers were appointed as mentors for these 108 groups. Each Mentor was asked to choose one best research under their guidance. 35 papers were selected. Head of Department of Commerce, Dr Nithila Vincent, inaugurated the event and emphasised on the importance of research in today’s world. The students were screened over a period of 2 days i.e. 27 and 28 Feb 2019. On 28th Feb 2019, 20 teams were screened by Dr. Leena James from Department of Management Studies and Prof. Rubin from the School of Law.

On the following day the remaining fifteen teams were judged by Dr. Vidya Chandra Shekar from the Department of Professional Studies and Prof. Rubin from the School of Law.

The judges expressed their satisfaction on the conclusion of the programme as they had so many take ways from the programme and were surprised by the indepth research done by the students.
Finally, a total of ten teams were selected for presenting their paper on Research Day.
