Developing digital literacy and communication skills in young minds is the crucial role of Genesys. This is a DPS initiative to teach the children of housekeeping staff. After we teach the children computer skills, during break time they all come together and watch life hacks or other informative videos on youtube. They make use of time and resources in a much better way than all of us . It’s definitely a mutual learning experience. Pre covid, Classes were held during Saturdays from 12:30 to 3:00 pm.

Activities in Genesys:

• Digital literacy- teaching the children basic computer skills like using Paint, Microsoft word, powerpoint and excel depending on their age.
• Developing oratory and public speaking skills.
• Making them aware about current affairs and various global issues.
• Imbibing in them a love for the environment and a concern for social issues.
• Explaining their subjects through practical examples and developing in them a conceptual framework.

During COVID-19, we are teaching around 25 children online and helping them with their subjects so as to make them comfortable with the school’s online curriculum. Each trainer is allotted a particular child and classes are held in the evenings.
