B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering enables the students to solve complex engineering problems using the specializations of electronics and communication. The programme is designed with globally competent curriculum and delivered to the students through a problem based and project-based approach. The curriculum has the study and application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism so that mundane jobs are taken away from human to machines. Vision is to emerge as a centre of academic excellence in the field of Electronics & Communication Engineering to address the dynamic needs of the industry upholding moral values.

Highlights of the programme include, 
• The students will have mandatory internships and also industry-based student internships to understand the requirements of industry. 
• Students are given a plethora of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary disciplines through open electives and global electives in line with National Education Policy 2020. 
• Industry oriented curriculum towards providing opportunities to solve real time problems faced by industries.  
• Application based teaching learning through case studies and frequent field visits.

Electronics and Computer Engineering [with Specialization in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning] is a cross-discipline, integrated program that explores the exciting interface between two traditional engineering domains Electronics and Computer science.  This engineering discipline synchronizes the latest developments that combine hardware electronics, software and computer systems together for any integrated intelligent embedded system design. This is an inter disciplinary under graduate degree program under School of Engineering and Technology. This programme is designed to bridge the gap between software analysis and hardware design in the lucrative fields such as- machine learning, data science, Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence etc. This programme aims to offer thorough knowledge of the theory and practice of software systems and its hardware implication in the purview of embedded system design. This programme addresses the interest of a wide audience of learners whose interests are versatile and interdisciplinary for hardware design as well as software analysis.

M.Tech in VLSI Design and Embedded Systems domain are considered to be the core areas of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The increasing growth rates in the Smartphone market, Consumer market, Automotives, Accelerator based server market and IoT could serve as an important source of opportunities and revenue for the IC-Design industry. Current growth in IC-Design (Semiconductors) can be attributed to the advancement in 4G/5G communication, Internet of Things (IoT), AI & ML and lower technology nodes like FINFETs. The advent of these technologies has opened numerous opportunities for the IC-Design industry. Due to 4G/5G technology, IoT’s expansion, AI & ML, FINFET based chip designs and Ultra Low Power design needs; IC-Design industry would require more people and high quality manpower to churn out new designs with optimized PPA (lesser Power, higher Performance and lesser Area). The aim of this programme is to develop professional engineers who are well versed with the fundamentals of VLSI and Embedded Systems who contribute to the growth of themselves, leading to the growth of the institution and hence the growth of the country.


Delivery of the curriculum is through a problem based and project-based approach.  The students are provided with a 360-degree holistic education with an equal weightage being given to co-curricular and extra-curricular activities along with the necessary skill development required for engineering industry.

VLSI (Very Large-Scale Integration) Design is a major domain of Electronics and Communication Engineering that involves the process of designing an integrated chip (IC) by integrating millions of MOS (metal oxide semiconductors) onto a single chip. The growth of internet has led to the tremendous growth of Smartphones, consumer electronics, automotive electronics, embedded systems which has enhanced the importance of VLSI design in the current industry workforce. In addition the recent developments seen in artificial intelligence and machine learning has ensured that the growth of electronic gadgets shall continue over the years. Any electronic gadget requires the usage of integrated chips (IC) whose design is now very much in demand. This programme of Post Graduate Diploma in VLSI Design-Digital design and Architectures and Post Graduate Diploma in VLSI Design – Analog and Mixed Signal Circuit Design is aimed at providing the required skills with practical exposure to the engineers and working professionals that is needed in the digital design of VLSI systems so that they become better prepared and skilled to perform in the ever-changing technological world.

International Category
Candidates falling under any of the below mentioned categories must apply under the International Student Category: 
1. Foreign citizens,
2. PIO card holders and
3. OCI (Dual Citizens)
International students coming from Non-English speaking countries should:
a) produce evidence of passing the qualifying examination in English medium or
b) have IELTS 6.0 with no sub-score below 5.5 or TOEFL (paper) 550, TOEFL (computer) of 213 or TOEFL (IBT) of 79 scores
Candidates without the above pre-qualifications will have to enroll either for
a) Intensive Certificate course in English Language (Full Time) conducted from March to May each year or
b) One Semester Certificate course in English Language (Part Time) conducted after regular class hours from June to December.

Note: The International Student category fee structure is binding for the full duration of the programme and cannot be transferred /changed in between.

Candidates from the above listed categories having pursued Indian Educational qualification and who may have applied under the Indian States Category will have to pay the International Student Category Fee. The decision of the Admission committee is final.
Candidates seeking admission through the International Student category (Foreign Nationals/PIO/OCI) will have a separate application process, with the following options to apply for any programme at Christ University.

NRI Student Category
Students who fall under any of the following classifications, at the time of application may apply under NRI Student category and be liable to pay the fees applicable to the category for the entire duration of the course.

1. NRI defined under the Indian Income Tax Law
2. Either of the parents is outside India (except Nepal) on Work Permit / Resident Permit.
3. Indian citizens financed by any Institution /  agency outside India, even if parents are Residents of India.
4. Indian Citizen who has pursued studies for qualifying examination in any foreign / Indian syllabus outside India.
5. Indian citizens pursued studies for qualifying examinations in foreign syllabi in India.

Note: If only condition 5 is satisfied, and not conditions 1 to 4 above,NRI student category fee will be applicable only for the first year.
