Young Economist Competition (YEC) is a National level Paper Presentation competition for undergraduate students which started in the year 2008. The program has been conducted every year under the stewardship of the Economic Association of the department ‘Amartya’. This basically tests the mettle of aspiring economists and sharpens the analytical and writing skills of students which are essential traits for being a successful economist. Moreover, it provides a very valuable opportunity for upcoming economists to demonstrate their abilities and talents in explaining the world around in all its complexities using the theoretical tools of economics. This event comprises various sequences; first, it invites the abstracts from colleges all over India, then they will be asked to submit full papers after screening and finally the full papers will be presented in the University.
