JinZai 2025: Intercollege HR Fest
Organized by The Human Capital Lab (THCL) under the Department of Psychology at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Central Campus, JinZai 2025 brought together over 170 student participants, 105 volunteers, and 14 industry leaders under the theme "The Art of Cultivating Legends". The fest opened with a keynote address by Cognizant's Vijaylakshmi Vikram on ethical AI and tech-integrated workforces, followed by an insightful panel discussion featuring senior leaders from Schneider Electric, Cognizant, WROGN, and IHCL, who explored strategic approaches to managing a multigenerational workforce. Supported by sponsors Parineeta, Irani Corner, and E Cure, the event successfully bridged academic theory with real-world human resource practice across multiple interactive sessions.
The fest featured four dynamic competitive tracks designed to test strategic thinking, workplace design, and practical decision-making. Students competed across HR Jeopardy, where 16 teams tackled HR theory and pop culture; Architect of Culture, where participants presented blueprints for sustainable, inclusive workplaces; HR Debate, covering pressingly relevant topics like 4-day workweeks and salary transparency; and Case Study Analysis, where 26 teams presented solutions to complex organizational challenges ranging from AI adoption to workplace equity. The event concluded with a grand Valedictory Ceremony honoring top performers, celebrating student collaboration, and reinforcing the evolving role of HR in balancing people, processes, and technology.
JinZai 2026: Intercollege HR Fest

THCL JinZai: Ikusei 2026, the flagship intercollege HR Fest organized by the Department of Psychology at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), successfully brought together over 500 participants, industry experts, and student volunteers around the theme "Ikusei – The Art of Becoming: A Voice Grown from Inside Out". The fest opened with an insightful inaugural address by Dr. Rev. Fr. Varghese K J and a keynote by Ms. Sheema Tasneem (Associate VP, Cognizant), who emphasized the vital role of core human capabilities like empathy, courage, and integrity in an increasingly automated workforce. Throughout the day, prominent industry leaders engaged in multi-perspective panel discussions covering the ethical integration of AI as a companion in HR and the practical execution of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) frameworks within modern workplace cultures.
The event featured four core competitive simulations—The Diagnosis, Face The Room, Human Monopoly, and Know It All—which challenged teams to navigate high-pressure organizational crises, manage workplace disruptions, and apply multi-domain knowledge spanning psychology, business, and current affairs. Experiential learning proved central to the fest's impact, requiring participants to defend their ethical choices under scrutiny while balancing strategic goals with employee welfare. Concluding with a valedictory address by Dean Dr. Surekha Chukkali and the crowning of Mount Carmel (Deemed to be University) as the overall best contingent, the inaugural edition established a strong benchmark for bridging academic theory with real-world HR leadership, receiving overwhelming praise from 90% of attendees.
