Centre for Academic and Professional Support

About Us

Who is CAPS for?

At its core, the Centre for Academic and Professional Support (CAPS) provides assistance in academic and professional spheres to anyone who may need it. The doors of CAPS are open to students, faculty, researchers, and anyone seeking support. At an individual level, CAPS helps one attain greater proficiencies in competencies related to the academic and professional spheres, through a wide array of topics, ranging from research to career readiness. It also provides a platform where one can develop networking skills and understand industry expectations through interaction-based university-wide sessions. It creates a forum for all the deaneries at an organizational level, thereby promoting the exchange of ideas and knowledge, leading to the optimal utilization of the university's vast resources.  CAPS aims to integrate holistically developed individuals, equipped with the appropriate skill sets that enable them to make a difference at the societal level.

Vision

Our vision is to be a benchmark in global academic circles in providing professional and academic based solutions to in-house as well as external patrons.

Mission

Our mission is to provide a shared platform for the entire university to exchange knowledge and experience, in order to harness expertise in the academic as well as professional spheres.

Objectives

  • Transforming the traditional classroom-learning setup into a 24x7 learning system.
  • Complementing and filling the gaps in the existing curriculum and providing the necessary help.
  • Providing effective channels of interaction and knowledge sharing amongst the CAPS community.
  • Channelizing the existing resources and harnessing the available expertise, i.e., the student community's dynamism and the teaching fraternity's experience and competence.
  • Creating new channels to optimize the learning process.

Know More

There are many vital skills, both academic and professional, that lie beyond the scope of the classroom. These skills can act as a catalyst to propel one's academic and professional career forward. The Centre for Academic & Professional Support was formed in July 2015 to bridge the gap in the existing curriculum and produce holistically developed individuals by optimizing learning and harnessing the existing resources to help Christites in their further holistic development.
