Research at CEAA
The Centre for Extragalactic Astronomy and Astrophysics (CEAA) hosts four active research groups spanning Extragalactic Astronomy, Star Formation & the Interstellar Medium, High-Energy Astrophysics, and Cosmology & Instrumentation. Our teams employ a multi-wavelength approach, integrating ultraviolet to radio observations from premier facilities such as JWST, AstroSat, VLT, Euclid, Chandra, and GMRT with state-of-the-art simulations and theoretical modelling.
Faculty members and research scholars contribute to high-impact discoveries in galaxy evolution, young stellar objects, astrochemistry, compact objects, and gravitational physics. Together, these research groups form a collaborative and interdisciplinary ecosystem that positions CEAA as a leading hub of astrophysical research in India.
