Programme Overview

About the Programme

The combined majors in Psychology and English offer students the opportunity to take an integrated approach towards both subjects. This course provides ample scope to explore the discipline of Psychology and English in depth. This interlinked approach offers exclusive areas of expertise with conceptual and methodological clarity. In the third year, students will be awarded the Undergraduate Degree with English and Psychology as the majors. After the successful completion of the three-year degree programme, the students have the option to do an honors programme/honors programme with research either in Psychology or English. They can take an informed decision to major in any one of the disciplines for further studies.

Versatile Career Pathways

Prepares learners to build successful careers across various industries by combining the real-world application of psychological and behavioral insights with the advanced communication, narrative-building, and critical thinking skills derived from the study of English.

Advanced Problem-Solving & Strategic Decision-Making

Students learn to apply evidence-based strategies and articulate solutions clearly in workplace and organizational contexts.

Essential Life Skills & Workplace Competencies

Fosters essential industry-oriented skills such as emotional intelligence, interpersonal effectiveness, and professional adaptability (drawn from Psychology), alongside stellar written and verbal communication, cultural sensitivity, and workplace ethics (honed through English Literature).

Dynamic Interdisciplinary Integration

Promotes a unique interdisciplinary synergy by integrating the study of the human mind (Psychology) with human expression (English). This enables learners to apply psychological knowledge and linguistic mastery effectively across allied domains such as media, management, health, education, and human resources.
