The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program in English offers an all-encompassing exploration of the English language and its rich literary heritage, with the overarching goal of preparing graduates for impactful careers in academia and research, notably as distinguished English professors in colleges and universities. Students’ and Faculty’s commitment towards society is enhanced through internships, field projects and Service-Learning programmes in collaboration with NGOs and other responsible organizations in the locality. Annual Association Fest (Wisteria) and Annual PG Student Seminar (PRISM) opens up avenues and, moreover, contributes to establish connections with scholars and students of Literature and Cultural Studies across India. All such engagements by the Department aims at helping each student and faculty to master the skill of reading the ever-changing self and society.
