About the Programme
M.Sc., (Zoology) curriculum is designed to give the students an insight into the structure, behaviour, physiology, classification, evolution, and ecology of animals. With the global standards of the curriculum, graduates in zoology, will have expertise in various aspects of the animal kingdom, ranging from microscopic organisms to complex vertebrates. The course covers various aspects of biology including animal anatomy and physiology, ethology (animal behaviour), taxonomy and classification, ecology, evolution, conservation and wildlife biology, paleozoology, vertebrate and invertebrate zoology etc. The programme is designed in such a way that it sharpens the scientific temperament of the student to serve the community in large. The programme also promotes interdisciplinary research attitude and entrepreneurship skills of the students. During the course of study, the students are encouraged to undertake internships in various academic institutions and in industry.
