About the Programme
The postgraduate course in Applied Economics is the flagship programme of the department of economics with intensive specialisations in areas of finance and development. The uniqueness of the programme is the judicious blend of economic theory accounting for interdisciplinarity and empirical measurement tools. Industrial exposure through internships and visits, mastery in scientific analysis through advanced quantitative methods, statistics, econometrics along with engagements in theory such as in Gender Economics, Ethics and Economics, Agricultural Economics and so on and latest soft skills make students competent to take up the most challenging careers in business, industry, public sector and advanced academic research.
