Ushus
“Beyond Competition, Towards Transformation” USHUS is the flagship, national intercollegiate management fest hosted annually by the MBA Programme under the School of Business and Management at Christ (Deemed to be University), Central Campus. The fest is held over two days and attracts participation from 50+ B-schools and a crowd of over 600 students from postgraduate programs from across the country. Over the years, USHUS has grown in scale and reputation, consistently drawing delegates from leading management institutes across India to engage in structured, domain-based competitive events.
Theme & Purpose
The 2025 edition of USHUS, themed “CADENZA – Flourish With Power,” aims to redefine the idea of competition by blending challenge with growth. Beyond its demanding rounds, the fest focuses on meaningful learning, holistic development, and leadership transformation. Designed as a dynamic platform, USHUS offers participants an arena to demonstrate their expertise, strategic insight and problem-solving across diverse business functions. It also provides valuable opportunities to connect with peers, faculty, and industry professionals, while earning recognition for competence and managerial excellence.
Event Structure & Domains
USHUS spans key management domains through a diverse range of specialized events, enabling participants to test their competencies across multiple areas. The event lineup includes domain-focused challenges in Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Operations, Strategy, Business Analytics, and International Business, which mirror real-world management scenarios. Additionally, events such as the Business Plan and Business Quiz provide platforms to showcase entrepreneurial thinking, strategic insight, and business awareness. Competitions like Public Relations, Best Manager, and Best Management Team highlight leadership, communication, and teamwork excellence. Every event is thoughtfully designed to reflect practical business contexts and evolving industry trends, encouraging participants to think beyond textbook frameworks and develop strategic, innovative perspectives.
Participation & Reach
Typically, USHUS sees participation from 50+ B-schools nationwide. Delegates include MBA and other postgraduate students, representing institutes from a wide geographical spread. In earlier editions, over 600 students have taken part in multiple events over the course of the fest. Participants benefit from hands-on exposure to real business challenges, enhancing their analytical, strategic, and leadership skills. The fest also offers valuable networking opportunities and national-level recognition, fostering both personal and professional growth.
