Ashokan O has been an esteemed contributor to Theatre Arts since 1998. He has directed numerous plays, including The Tragedy at the Dining Table, Hamlet, Macbeth, Rashomon, Oedipus, and Mathilukal (The Wall). His repertoire also features children?s plays and workshops for young and adult enthusiasts. His academic journey began at the Teacher Education Training Centre, MG University, Kerala. Ashokan earned a Bachelor of Theatre Arts (BTA) from the School of Drama and a Master of Performing Arts (MPA) from the University of Hyderabad. He qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) and is pursuing a PhD at NIT Mizoram. Professionally, Ashokan has acted with the National School of Drama and participated in national theatre festivals. His film contributions include roles in costume design and assistant direction, notably for In the Name of Buddha. He has directed educational TV programs and served as faculty for Kerala Government?s arts project, Kalakshetra. Ashokan excels in acting, directing, set design, lighting, and makeup. He has actively contributed to conferences, seminars, and research publications. Since 2015, he has been a dedicated Theatre Arts faculty at Christ University, imparting his extensive knowledge to students. Trained in Kalari and Yoga, he is also a rank holder in UG and PG programs.
