About
The Student Council exists to enhance the overall graduate experience at CHRIST (Deemed to be University) by promoting the general welfare of the student body. It creates new programmes and initiatives that provide opportunities for growth, leadership, and meaningful interaction, while also communicating with the Administration and Faculty on behalf of students.
The Student Council aims to imbibe and inculcate the Vision, Mission, and Core Values of the University. It provides constructive feedback on academic programmes, campus life, discipline, library and infrastructure facilities, and student support services. It also plays a proactive role in enhancing student placements and internships, supporting the anti-ragging committee, promoting holistic student development, and strengthening participation in arts, culture, sports, and co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
The Student Council is led by the University Level Student Council (USC), the apex body of student representation, supported by the School-Level Student Council (SSC). The USC comprises 64 student representatives from various Departments and Centres, working collaboratively to bridge students, faculty, staff, and management in building a vibrant academic community.
