Dr Surekha Chukkali is Dean and Professor of the School of Psychological Sciences at CHRIST (Deemed to be University). She holds an MA in Psychology and a PhD from Osmania University. Her research interests include educational psychology, positive psychology, grit, personality, and psychological assessment. She has developed and validated psychological scales, including the Superstitious Beliefs Scale and a multi-dimensional scale of grit. Her publications span topics such as nomophobia, moral injury among healthcare professionals, residential satisfaction and quality of life, and ageism. She has published in journals including Frontiers in Psychology, Cogent Psychology, and Discover Mental Health. She teaches psychology courses and provides academic leadership to the school's undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes.
