Dr. Benny Sebastian holds a masters degree in Physics with Electronics specialization. He earned an M.Phil from Bharathidasan University, Trichy, and a Ph.D. from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. Additionally, he holds a bachelors degree in Education from Calicut University. His research focuses on materials science, particularly graphene composites and antibacterial studies. Dr. Sebastian played a key role in formalizing the MoU between CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories (CSIR-NAL) and Christ University. This collaboration led to the installation of a wind turbine-solar hybrid system in January 2017. He also facilitated the MoU between SOGO Synergy Pvt. Ltd. and Christ University for e-waste disposal in April 2022. Since 1990, Dr. Sebastian has been a dedicated faculty member of Christ University, previously known as Christ College. He has actively mentored the Student Council of the School of Sciences since 2010. Currently, he serves as a Professor in the Department of Physics and Electronics at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Central Campus.
