NEUROCOGNITION LABORATORY (NCL)
The Neurocognition Laboratory (NCL) is a premier research facility dedicated to advancing cognitive neuroscience. The lab provides students and faculty with access to cutting-edge technologies for studying brain activity, neuroplasticity, and cognitive function enhancement.
Location:
• Room 755, Third Floor, Block 2, Central Campus
Key Features & Equipment-( Infrastructure facilities)
• Eyelink 1000plus SR Research
• Magstim EGI 64 Channel EEG system
• Analysis Workstation
• Meeting room for 10 persons
• Eye-Tracking Systems: Advanced tools from Tobii and SR Research used to study visual attention, reading behavior, and cognitive load.
• EEG Acquisition System: A 64-channel EGI EEG system used for recording electrical activity in the brain, supporting research in neurocognition and affective neuroscience.
• Cognitive Experimentation Tools: E-Prime software allows precise control and measurement of experimental cognitive tasks.
• Psychophysiological Monitoring: Facilitates research on the interaction between psychological states and physiological responses, including biofeedback applications.
Research & Educational Activities:
• Regularly hosts workshops, training sessions, and certification programs in neurocognitive research methodologies.
• Example: A Certificate Workshop on Eye-Tracking Research Methodology is scheduled for February 6-8, 2025, offering hands-on experience in experiment design, data collection, and analysis using eye-tracking technology.
