Aasita Bali is an Associate Professor in the Department of Media Studies at Christ University, Bangalore. She is also the PhD Program Coordinator for the department. Her expertise spans Film Studies, International and Global Communication, Media Theories, Advertising, and Pop Culture. She has designed and taught courses on Harry Potter, Critical Thinking, and more. Aasita has presented and published articles on Indian Cinema, Gender, Political Communication, and Social Media. Her research also includes Celebrity Advertising and Fake News. She holds a master's degree in Mass Communication and Journalism and is an alumna of Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. In 2024, she was awarded the Visiting Scholar Grant by the University of Cincinnati.
