Dr. Mareena Mathew is a Fellow of the Institute of Management Accountants of India (FCMA). She holds a degree in Mathematics, with postgraduate qualifications in Business Management and Economics. Additionally, she is a UGC NET-qualified academic. Dr. Mareena has over 20 years of professional experience, including six years in the industry. Her industrial expertise spans cost management, budgetary analysis, management control systems, corporate governance and ethics, and financial accounting. She also has two years of international experience in Tokyo, Japan. She teaches MBA courses in accounting and finance and contributes to Management Development Programmes (MDPs) for public and private sector professionals. Her areas of expertise include Financial Accounting, Corporate Governance, Management Accounting, Corporate Finance, Security Analysis, and Portfolio Management. During her doctoral research, she explored earnings quality, proxies for earnings quality, and their relationship with stock market returns of Indian companies. Dr. Mareena has authored case studies, presented papers at conferences, and published research in academic journals.
