To improve students' English speaking and writing skills and create a richer learning environment, the University will administer an English proficiency test to all first-year students at the start of their first semester. This test will be conducted by THE HINDU Group, a prominent national newspaper, for students from the School of Business and Management, School of Commerce, and School of Social Sciences. For students from the School of Engineering, School of Sciences, and School of Arts and Humanities, the test will be administered by Cambridge University Press & Assessment, affiliated with the University of Cambridge. Each student will be required to pay a fee of approximately Rs 500 for the test.

Students who fall below the minimum proficiency threshold will have the option to enroll in an English proficiency course offered by either of the above-mentioned organisations  at an additional cost. This  additional support underscores our dedication to continuously  enhancing our students' skills.
