Dr Ishita Verma is an academic specializing in English literature and cultural studies. Her expertise includes communicative English and Bhasha and folk literature. She also studies Sufi literature, narrative studies, and structuralist theories. She holds PhD and MPhil from IIT ISM Dhanbad. Her research focuses on medieval Bhasha literature and narrative strategies. She examines ancient and medieval epics using poststructuralist approaches. She has published research in reputed academic journals widely. Her work highlights poststructuralist perspectives on Indian literary traditions. She regularly presents research at national and international conferences. She participates in faculty development programs on innovative teaching methods. She is fluent in English and Hindi languages effectively. She brings diverse cultural perspectives into literature and academic teaching. She joined CHRIST University in June 2024 as Assistant Professor. She serves in the Department of English and Cultural Studies.
