Dr. Aravindh Panikkaveettil holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Cochin University of Science and Technology. He received the Chief Minister?s Nava Kerala Post-Doctoral Fellowship for his post-doctoral research. His research focused on risk and vulnerability assessments of climate-vulnerable communities in Kerala, using IPCC AR4 and AR5 frameworks. He has previously worked with New York University Abu Dhabi, UNICEF India, and the Government of Kerala. His policy research for UNICEF and the Rebuild Kerala Mission has contributed significantly to improving coastal management practices. Dr. Aravindh is also associated with NGOs focused on rural communities and is part of a nationwide network of climate leaders. His research interests include social exclusion, gender, and climate change, which he explores through interdisciplinary frameworks. His publications appear in both national and international journals. Since December 2023, he has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Christ University, Bangalore Central Campus.
