Dr. K. K. Loung Nathan is a faculty member in the Department of History at Christ University. He holds a Masters and M.Phil. in History from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. His PhD was earned from the Centre for Historical Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University. Dr. Nathan's doctoral research focused on the spatial history of Manipur in the 19th and 20th centuries. His work explored the relationship between social dynamics and physical spaces. He drew on the theories of Henri Lefebvre to understand space as a construct. His research interests include contemporary historical narratives, indigenous knowledge systems, and missionary education in Northeast India. He also focuses on colonial and postcolonial history and the oral traditions of folk tales and folklore. Dr. Nathan has published extensively in academic journals. He has been teaching at Christ University since 2021.
