Dr. Anushree S. Panikkassery serves as an Assistant Professor in Economics at CHRIST (Deemed to be University). Her primary research interests lie in Development Economics, focusing on critical socio-economic issues. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Central University of Tamil Nadu and is an ICSSR fellow. Her doctoral research analyzed the impact of public health insurance schemes on financial protection and healthcare decisions in Kerala. She is actively involved in teaching and research at CHRIST, contributing significantly to academic and institutional development. Her projects include studying the utilization of antenatal and postnatal care services and addressing policy inclusiveness for autistic students in special education. Dr. Anushree has published research in esteemed journals like Millennial Asia and the Asian Journal of Economics, Business and Accounting, with Scopus-indexed work. She also holds a life membership with the Indian Health Economics and Policy Association. Apart from academics, she contributes as the International Cell Coordinator for the Department of Economics, fostering global engagement.
