Dr Namrata Singha Roy is a development economist with extensive academic experience. She has over ten years expertise in research, teaching, training, and consulting. She currently serves as Assistant Professor in Economics at CHRIST Bangalore Central Campus. She previously worked with ICRISAT, ASCI, ISI Kolkata, and Adamas University. She holds M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Economics from University of Calcutta. Her specialization includes advanced econometric methods and applied statistical techniques. Her research interests include Labor Economics, Gender studies, and Agricultural Economics. She contributed to projects funded by Gates Foundation and ICSSR. She also worked with ICAR and Government of Karnataka initiatives. She participated as keynote speaker, moderator, and presenter in conferences. These events were organized by IIM Bangalore, IIT Roorkee, and ISI Kolkata. She has published papers in Springer and Elsevier journals and books. She holds a copyright for her scholarly work from Government of India. She contributes as columnist to publications like The Wire and Business Economics. She is proficient in EViews, STATA, SPSS, Python, and advanced Excel. She conducts workshops and training for officials, scholars, and students.
