The Department of Chemistry organized “CHEMOZ” the inter collegiate fest on 24 of August, 2016. Events were held for both UG and PG students from various colleges. There were a total of 8 events for UG students (Quiz, Pot Pourri, In the Lab, Lecture Contest, Art out of Waste, Treasure Hunt,  Debate and Can You Sell It) and 6 events for PG students (Lecture contest, Walk in interview, In the Lab, Debate, Cartooning and Paper Presentation).

A total of 18 colleges participated, out of which St. Josephs College, Devagiri (KERALA) and St. Josephs College, Hosur (Tamil Nadu) were the two out of the state participants. A Total of more than 250 participants registered for the various events held.

The events started at 09:00 AM with quiz prelims held in the Main Auditorium followed by all the other events held in various places of Audi Block and Block-1. The events went up to 12:45 PM and then started again at 01:30 PM after the lunch break with the Quiz Finals.

The Quiz Finals was held over 6 interesting rounds and it ended with the prize distribution from 03:00 PM to 03:30 PM. It was then followed by the cultural program till 04:15 PM. The program concluded with Vote of Thanks by the two Student Coordinators for the fest (Aljo Anand and Priya Saraswathi). The Overall Champions for the fest was Jyothi Nivas College JNC from Bengaluru and the overall runners were St. Joseph’s College Bengaluru. The Fest was a great success.
