About the Social Conclave

India as a society has immense potential. Its rich social fabric offers opportunities for inclusive
growth and well-being. Yet, challenges such as economic disparity, unequal access to education

and healthcare, and barriers to equal participation persist. People at the intersections of socio-
political and economic marginalization often continue to face discrimination despite policy

interventions. In this context, the National Conclave: Social Sciences for Social Impact is
envisioned as a platform to develop practical and meaningful solutions to real-world problems
through the lens of social sciences. The conclave will focus on the following key themes and
sub-themes that aim to bridge research, policy, and practice for social impact.
