Overview

ICSCBN

About the Centre

Breaking down the silos between how we think (cognitive), how we interact (social), and how we behave (behavioural) is where the most transformative discoveries emerge. The Interdisciplinary Centre for Social, Cognitive and Behavioural Neuroscience (ICSCBN) is a university-level research and innovation centre at CHRIST (Deemed to be University). The Centre integrates cognitive neuroscience, behavioural sciences, psychology, social sciences, neuroeconomics, artificial intelligence, computer science, data science, education, and public policy to understand human behaviour and develop evidence-based solutions for contemporary societal challenges. Building upon over a decade of work through the Cognitive Neuroscience Studies (CNS) Study Group, advanced neurocognitive laboratories, interdisciplinary collaborations, and doctoral research, the Centre serves as a platform for research, education, consultancy, innovation, and public engagement. Its work spans the complete spectrum—from fundamental understanding of the human brain and behaviour to the translation of scientific discoveries into interventions that improve mental health, education, workplace well-being, public policy, and quality of life.
