The five faculty members collectively advance the field of functional materials through innovations in nanostructures, quantum dots, DNA-based assemblies, and catalytic systems for applications in sensing, energy, and environmental remediation.
Dr. Vinod T. P. focuses on Electrospun membranes, carbon dots, hybrid nanostructures, optical sensors, and soft surfaces for applications in environmental sensing, oil-water separation, food quality monitoring, and water harvesting. His work emphasizes surface modifications to enhance photophysical properties and sustainable applications of nano- and micro-structured materials and interfaces.
Dr. Shine K. Albert explores DNA amphiphiles and supramolecular assemblies, creating pH-responsive vesicles and Janus nanosheets for drug delivery, molecular recognition, and CO₂ conversion catalysis. Her research bridges the fields of biomolecular chemistry and nanotechnology.
Dr. Nidhin M. investigates metal oxide nanostructures, perovskites, and electrospun membranes for photocatalysis, solar energy conversion, and environmental cleanup. His work on ZnO and TiO₂-based systems contributes to the field of green chemistry and sustainable technologies.
Dr. Priya Vijayaraghavan’s research centers on conducting polymers, nanocomposites, and biosensors. She develops electrochemical sensors and smart coatings using functionalized materials for healthcare diagnostics and environmental monitoring.
Dr. Manoj B specializes in the synthesis and photophysics of semiconductor quantum dots for applications as energy transfer probes and photocatalytic systems. His studies on stoichiometry-controlled carrier dynamics and ligand-mediated charge transfer enhance the performance of optoelectronic devices, photocatalytic and sensing assemblies, and solar energy platforms.
Together, these researchers contribute to a vibrant ecosystem of functional materials that address critical challenges in energy, environment, healthcare, and smart technologies, positioning their work at the forefront of interdisciplinary innovation.
