Dr. Asha Anand holds a doctorate in Biotechnology from Banaras Hindu University, specializing in enzyme kinetics. She gained four years of postdoctoral experience at Madurai Kamaraj University in Plant Biotechnology. Her research focused on organellar noncoding RNAs and their role in regulating plant gene expression. During her postdoctoral studies, she received a three-year DST Women Scientist grant. Dr. Anand has published her findings in renowned journals, covering enzymes and noncoding RNAs. Her primary research areas include industrial and agricultural enzymes, enzyme immobilization, and plant stress biology. She also explores epigenetic gene regulation in plants under stress conditions. Dr. Anand?s additional interests involve chloroplast roles during plant-pathogen interactions, functional plant-derived peptides, and nano matrix immobilization of microbes and biomolecules. Since 2023, Dr. Anand has been a valuable faculty member at Christ University, Bangalore.
