Dr. Kerwin Savio Nigli is an expert in restaurant management. He earned a BSc in Catering Science and Hotel Management from Bharathiar University. His MBA was completed at Pondicherry University, followed by an MPhil and PhD at Christ University, Bengaluru. His research focuses on Industrial and Positive Psychology within the hospitality industry. He has mentored undergraduate research, presented at national and international conferences, and undertaken consultancy projects. He has visited universities in India and abroad for leadership exposure and presentations. Recognized for motivating staff and students, he is lauded for enhancing hospitality education. Dr. Nigli joined Christ University in 2005 after working with reputed institutions and hotels. He is a governing body member of the Tourism and Hospitality Skill Council and a board member of Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, India Chapter. As Head of the Department, he established several initiatives, including: 1. SWAD (2014): Promoting local cuisines and sustainability. 2. iTalk@CU (2015): Industry expert sessions for students. 3. Experiential Learning Restaurant (2016): A student-operated venture. 4. SWADAM (2019): Celebrating Indian culinary skills. 5. Alumni Wall & Beneficence (2022-2023): Honoring alumni contributions. Dr. Nigli?s leadership has shaped the department?s excellence in hospitality education.
