Dr. Mithilesh Kumar is an academic and researcher specializing in Cultural Studies. His expertise includes Borders and Migration Studies, Urban Studies, and Postcolonial-Postsocialist Theory. He serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of English and Cultural Studies at Christ University, Bengaluru. He earned his PhD in Culture and Society from Western Sydney University. He also holds an M.Phil in English Literature from Jadavpur University. Additionally, he completed his MA and BA in English Literature at the University of Delhi. His professional experience includes serving as Assistant Professor at Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Patna. He also worked as Research and Programme Associate at the Calcutta Research Group. He has led initiatives like the Cultural Studies Methodology Lab at Christ University. Dr. Kumar is also a founder-member of the Commoning Asia Collective. Dr. Kumar has contributed to journals such as Society and Culture in South Asia and Economic and Political Weekly. He has authored several book chapters and organized international conferences. Currently, he serves as Executive Editor of the Tattva Journal of Philosophy.
