About the Programme

The Master of Science in Psychology - Human Resource Development and Management is a two-year programme aimed towards developing a more humanistic approach in learners for improving the productivity, profitability and performance of an organization. The programme provides a foundational understanding of application of psychological concepts and principles at the workplace, ethical research and data analysis, psychological assessments at workplace and change management. It is interdisciplinary in nature and is offered to those learners who wish to achieve professional expertise in management of human and social side of work organizations. The programme is an integration of foundational 
principles of human resource management and current trends in people management practices like evidence-based decision making, artificial intelligence at workplace and mental health at workplace. Additionally, the learners are provided the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in designing, implementing and evaluating workshops; selecting and deploying appropriate data collection techniques; analyzing and interpreting primary and secondary data; and choosing and deploying appropriate change interventions. Furthermore, the learners also get industry exposure through interactions with working professionals which contributes to a more holistic professional development of the learners.

Psychological Foundations in the Workplace

Focuses on the application of psychological concepts and principles to understand human behaviour, improve employee well-being, and enhance organizational performance.

Research, Assessment and Evidence-Based Decision Making

Develops competencies in ethical research, data analysis, psychological assessments, and evidence-based approaches for effective people management and organizational decision making.

Organizational Development and Change Management

Provides hands-on learning in designing, implementing, and evaluating workshops and change interventions to improve organizational effectiveness and adaptability.

Contemporary HR Practices and Industry Exposure

Integrates current trends such as artificial intelligence, mental health at the workplace, and modern HR practices, while offering industry interaction for holistic professional development.
