Plastic Plogging Trek: A Step Towards a Cleaner Environment

As part of our commitment to environmental conservation, the Christites for Climate Action (CCA) organized a Plastic Plogging Trek, where a large number of students actively participated in collecting plastic waste while trekking to a hilltop. This initiative combined adventure with environmental responsibility, reinforcing the importance of sustainable tourism and waste management.

The trek was not just about cleaning up; it was about creating awareness and inspiring change. Through this initiative, students understood the critical role individuals play in protecting the environment and how simple actions like carrying reusable items, disposing of waste responsibly, and engaging in clean-up drives can make a significant impact.

The absence of municipal intervention in such remote areas only worsened the situation, making it evident that immediate action was required. Recognizing the urgency, we took it upon ourselves to intervene and take responsible actions, ensuring that the pristine natural landscape was not further degraded by human negligence.
