SOFTEX 2018

SOFTEX is the National Level Project Exhibition organized by the Department of Computer Science. The exhibition serves as a forum for young innovators from all over the nation to gather and display their software and hardware projects. The exhibition hosts undergraduate students from a number of colleges as well as our own Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), B.Sc.(CMS) and B.Sc.(CME) students.

The competitive spirit behind SOFTEX motivates students to constantly discover and develop projects that challenge the current foray of technology.

SOFTEX 2018 was inaugurated on March 02 by Dr. Tony Sam George, HOD, Department of Psychology, CHRIST (Deemed to be University). His speech stressed on a number of elements which encapsulate healthy competition, breakthrough innovation and a hunger for knowledge.

The exhibition had seen a number of path breaking projects which have adopted IOT, Smart Cities, Stock Markets and Public Services as the cornerstones for their development.

The projects were subject to judgment by a panel of judges who are experienced professionals from industries and alumni. The projects were scrutinized on the basis of their scope, future prospects, and most importantly, execution of the complete projects. Cash prizes and Certificates were awarded to teams that were able to successfully impress the meticulous panel.
